Welcome to sudosu.net — where it’s all about the text.
You enter “sudo su” on the command-line in OS X and in some varieties of Linux to change from your “regular” user account (which is limited in what it can do to change things on your computer) to the “root” account (which is completely unlimited).
My name is John Mark Schofield. I’m a life-long geek, currently working as Director of IT at Dakim. (You can see my resume here.)
And very clearly, the first thing I should point out is that the contents of this site are not endorsed by anyone, including my employer. In fact, I reserve the right to claim that aliens made me post anything that I no longer agree with.
Most of the tech stuff is going into blog.sudosu.net — but longer-form articles will go here. However, sudosu.net isn’t just about tech stuff — my poetry goes here, as well as stories about bribing Mexican cops and living in Downtown Los Angeles as well as anything else that catches my fancy.
